I just got back from giving a talk tonight.
The thing was supposed to be about 1 hour. Ended up being 2 and a half.
It was exhausting – and great. And because it was a small group we got to interact a lot. You know, just kick back and do a lot of question / answer type stuff.
Some big idea’s been brewing in me these past few days. And it all came together for me tonight. And guess what I was doing when I had this awesome thought?
One day there was this kid, and he lived in Starton, Nebraska. In the summer Starton gets so hot that if you stand in one place too long, the bottoms of your shoes will start to stick to the pavement. And actually, now that I think about it, I suppose he wasn’t really a “kid”, but a young man, because after all he was 19 years old, and his facial hair grew faster than most fully grown men.
